Our Statements Of Faith

  1. There is one God,(1) who is infinitely perfect,(2) existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.(3) ([1] Deuteronomy 6:4, [2] Matthew 5:48, [3] Matthew 28:19)

  2. Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man.(4) He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.(5) He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust,(6) as a substitutionary sacrifice,(7) and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.(8) He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures.(9) He is now at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest.(10) He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace.(11) ([4] Philippians 2:6–11, [5] Luke 1:34–38, [6] I Peter 3:18, [7] Hebrews 2:9, [8] Romans 5:9, [9] Acts 2:23–24, [10] Hebrews 8:1, [11] Matthew 26:64)

  3. The Holy Spirit is a divine person,(12) sent to dwell, guide, teach, empower the believer,(13) and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.(14) ([12] John 14:15–18, [13] John 16:13, Acts 1:8, [14] John 16:7–11)

  4. The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.(15) ([15] 2 Peter 1:20–21, 2 Timothy 3:15–16)

  5. Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God:(16) he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature,(17) are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.(18) The portion of the unrepentant and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment;(19) and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss.(20) ([16] Genesis 1:27, [17] Romans 3:23, [18] 1 Corinthians15:20–23, [19] Revelation 21:8, [20] Revelation 21:1–4)

  6. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God.(21) ([21] Titus 3:4–7)

  7. It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly,(22) being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service.(23) This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion.24 ([22] 1 Thessalonians 5:23, [23] Acts 1:8, [24] Romans 6:1–14)

  8. Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body.(25) Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age.(26) ([25] Matthew 8:16–17, [26] James 5:13–16)

  9. The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, (27) which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations.(28) The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.(29) ([27] Ephesians 1:22–23, [28] Matthew 28:19–20, [29] Acts 2:41–47)

  10. There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life;(30) for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment.(31) ([30] 1 Corinthians 15:20–23, [31] John 5:28–29)

  11. The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent(32) and will be personal, visible, and premillennial.(33) This is the believer's blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.(34) ([32] Hebrews 10:37, [33] Luke 21:27, [34] Titus 2:11–14)

Lost People Matter To God.
Lost people matter to God. For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost. (Luke 19:20)

Prayer is the Primary work of the people of God.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6–7)

Everything we have belongs to God. We are only stewards.
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. (I Chronicles 29:14)

Knowing and obeying God's word is fundamental to all true success.
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8)

Without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit we can accomplish nothing.
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. (I Corinthians 2:4–5)

Completing the Great Commission will require the mobilization of every fully devoted disciple.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

Achieving God's purposes always involves taking faith filled risks. This always involves change.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Ministry Leaders

Delroy and Christina Simpson

Pastor Delroy Simpson

Delroy became the Lead Pastor of Cambridge Springs Church at the end of the Summer 2017. A native of Jamaica, Pastor Delroy came to know the Lord at the age of 16 during his high school years. He has been happily married to his lovely wife, Christina, for over 23 years, and together they have 4 children. He is a graduate of both Moody Seminary and Columbia International University and Seminary. Pastor Delroy is passionate, energetic, and is very intentional about communicating Biblical truths in a manner relevant to our culture. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Delroy also enjoys reading, the outdoors, building relationships, sharing the gospel, and spending much time with his family. His vision for Cambridge Springs Christian and Missionary Alliance Church is to “know Christ and to make Him known.”

Church leadership

Church Leadership

Cambridge Springs Christian Alliance Church is led by a co-equal set of elders, who serve under the headship of Christ and directed by the Holy Spirit, in full submittance to Scriptural authority. Through the leadership and guidance of Pastor Delroy, our church pursues the truth of Jesus Christ through the word of God. We value the plurality of leadership and the fellowship that is built with a focus on accountability and a God-focused community.

Our Elders & Wives

John & Lori Chuma

John & Lori Chuma have been with the C&MA church for over 16 years, over 8 of those years here with us at Cambridge Springs C&MA. One of John’s favorite past times is woodworking, and Lori has shared her love of cooking and baking with us all at C&MA at numerous events! Both previously educators, they take their love of teaching and share that with the congregation by regularly leading men’s and women’s ministries.

Tom & Carole Mook

Tom & Carole’s happiest moments are spent making memories with their family, and enjoying the outdoors from hiking to hunting. They both also enjoy woodworking…Tom, by building and remodeling homes, and Carole has her wood creations. Their lives changed from the first moment they visited CSCMA in 2008, and they knew they found their church family here. They became members in 2009. In addition to serving as Elder, Tom also serves as Treasurer and Trustee, and Carole is the Board Secretary. Carole also serves as our resident designer and creator of all beautiful scenery we have in the church and as our multimedia producer.

Michael & Lisa Clark

Mike and Lisa Clark live in Venango. Mike is a local who hails from Union City, while Lisa is from the Cleveland area. Together, they have 6 children, 4 grandbabies, and one pup named Rory. Mike is very much an ‘outdoors guy’ as avid hunter, while Lisa enjoys reading and cooking. They both love to travel and spend time with their family. Mike has served as an Elder since January 2025 and you will also see him leading singing most weeks. Lisa serves as a Deaconess.

Jeff & Lisa Langford

Jeff and Lisa recently relocated to Cambridge Springs from Pittsburgh in 2024.  They have been married for 34 years and have two children and two grandchildren, as well as being doting parents to a Jack Russell puppy named Sunny.  Jeff works in commercial credit at a regional bank and Lisa recently retired.  They enjoy serving at Church, gardening, visiting kids and grandkids, and just generally getting things done.

Our Church Secretary

Donna Howles

Donna is the cheerful voice that you will hear on the other end of the line when you contact us. She was born and raised in Erie, Pa and was a graduate of McDowell High School. She has been married to her wonderful husband for over 30 years; and together, they have one beautiful daughter, a hard working son-in- law and 3 wonderful grandchildren (1 girl & 2 boys). She accepted Christ into her life as a child but strayed from the Lord during her teenage years. During her early years of marriage, She became extremely ill with a serious disorder. This prompted her to seek answers and led her back to Christ. She still struggles with this disorder, but God has used her to help others see His mercy in times of great difficulty. In her own words, “I'm looking forward to the day that my earthly body has no more pain and I will sing His praises in His presence!”

Christian and Missionary Alliance

Cambridge Springs is a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. The Alliance was birthed in 1881 when Pastor A. B. Simpson organized a small group of believers devoted to experiencing Jesus in His fullness and making Him known to New York City’s marginalized dock workers. Today, we continue to carry out our All of Jesus for All the World vision by caring for suffering and overlooked people through 2,000 U.S. churches and more than 700 international workers serving in 70 countries.
